Gail Lynne DiBlasio (nee Boyd), born on July 27, 1945, in West Philadelphia, passed away on January 24, 2025. Gail was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her warmth, kindness, and unwavering love.

Gail grew up in West Philadelphia, where she attended John Bartram High School. She was an active student, known for her athleticism and her love for basketball. After school, she would eagerly head to the television studio to dance on the popular TV show, American Bandstand, hosted by the legendary Dick Clark.

Upon graduating from high school, Gail embarked on a career as a secretary at Drexel University. Gail later worked at the Perkels Pharmacy in Oreland, PA, where her friendly demeanor and helpful nature made her a favorite among customers. She also served as a processor at Financial Mortgage Company.

In 1969, Gail married the love of her life, Kerry DiBlasio. Their union was a testament to true love and partnership. The couple shared a deep bond and created a beautiful family together. Kerry predeceased Gail in 2019, but their love story and the memories they built together continued to inspire and comfort their family and friends.

Gail was predeceased by her sister, Joan Upton. She is survived by her brother, Wayne Boyd. Gail's legacy lives on through her three children: Nicholas (Lucy), Kerry Jr. (Laura), and Donna Lima (Brian). Her children were the light of her life, and she found immense joy and pride in being their mother. Gail's love extended to her grandchildren, Luke and James DiBlasio, and Riley, Emily, and Dylan Lima. She adored her grandchildren and cherished the moments spent with them, creating lasting memories filled with love and laughter. In addition to her close family, she cherished her closest friends. Gail is predeceased by William (Bill) Bergen, who introduced Kerry and Gail. She is also predeceased by Gary Wampole, and survived by her dear friend, Camille Wampole.

Throughout her life, Gail enjoyed being a mother and took great pride in her children's accomplishments. She was their biggest cheerleader, offering unwavering support and encouragement. Gail's nurturing spirit and boundless love created a strong and close-knit family that will forever treasure her memory.

Gail and her husband, Kerry, made their home in Oreland, PA, where they raised their family. They also spent idyllic summers in Beach Haven West, NJ, where they lived on the water. Gail loved taking the kids to the beach and lake, where they enjoyed countless days
of sun, sand, and sea. She delighted in crabbing on the boat with her husband and children, and she was always up for an adventure, whether it was Jet Skiing with her friends or exploring new places. They made their home full time in Beach Haven West once they both retired and enjoyed stunning views of the lagoon each day.

Gail was deeply involved in her community, particularly at Holy Martyrs, where she made a significant impact as the Softball Head Coach. Under her guidance, the team achieved great success, winning the championship in 1985.

In addition to her involvement in Holy Martyrs, Gail was an active member of the Oreland Inn Women's Dart League. She enjoyed the camaraderie and friendly competition, and she formed lasting friendships through the league. Gail also loved bowling with her friends, finding joy in the sport and the time spent together.

Gail's life was a testament to love, family, and community. She was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a doting grandmother. Her kindness, generosity, and unwavering support touched the lives of all who knew her. Gail's legacy will continue to live on through her family, friends, and the countless lives she impacted.

A memorial service to celebrate Gail's life will be held in April, date to be determined. The family wishes to recognize the tireless and loving work of all of the nurses from Bayada Hospice. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Bayada Hospice or a charity of your choice in Gail's memory. Gail Lynne DiBlasio will be deeply missed, but her spirit and the love she shared will remain in our hearts forever.
