Obituary

Gail (Rowan) Friday, 78, of Phoenixville, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2009, in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Kimberton, she was a daughter of the late John and Dorothy (Heistand) Rowan.

Mrs. Friday was a graduate of Phoenixville High School, where she was involved with cheerleading and was a member of the Dogwood Court. Over the years she was employed at York Borg-Warner, CPI, Rambo Lamp Co., and Dettra Flag, and was a former member of the Phoenixville Baptist Church. She loved reading, crossword puzzles, bird watching, and gardening. Her wonderful sense of humor and quick response put everyone at ease and filled the room with light.

Mrs. Friday is survived by a daughter, Tracy G. Friday, of Milford, Delaware, two sons, John "Jake", husband of Marianne Friday, of Phoenixville, and Eric W. Friday, of Phoenixville, sister Joan Quay, of Phoenixville, five grandchildren, Eric, Paul, Brian, Colleen, and Leah, and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, James V. Friday.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are being handled by the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. Condolences may be offered online at www.PhoenixvilleFuneralHome.com.
