Gary W. Persinotti, age 70, devoted husband of Doris E. (Clarke) Persinotti, of Springfield Township, PA, loving father of Jennifer M. Persinotti of Mt. Airy, Philadelphia, PA and much beloved grandfather of Alexander Persinotti, also of Mt. Airy, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018, at home. Born on September 15, 1947, in Lawton, Oklahoma, he was the son of the late John and Pauline (Dodson) Persinotti.

Growing up in Oklahoma, his life's path took him to different parts of the world. He served in the United States Air Force for 8 years working in the field of electronics, a love of his since childhood. He was stationed in Japan and Germany and upon his discharge, he decided to stay in Europe. This began a 37-year career with Motorola which culminated in two patents during the early years of cell phones and his becoming a Lead Systems Engineer, Motorola's highest ranked technical position. He met his wife and was married in Naples, Italy and lived there for four years, followed by time in Wiesbaden, Germany, Dallas, TX, Wilton, NH, Elizabethtown, PA, and for 16 years now, Springfield Township, Philadelphia. Gary's main dedication, however, was to his family. He was a lifetime supporter of Waldorf Education, generous with his time and skills on behalf of his children's education and wife's career, and he gave the best shoulder rides a grandchild could ask for. He loved and was extremely capable at fixing just about anything and was a self-taught carpenter, plumber and electrician, literally fundamentally transforming every house the family lived in.

In addition to his wife, daughter and grandson, Mr. Persinotti is survived by one sister, Paula C., wife of J. Don Foster of Castle Rock, CO. Mr. Persinotti was preceded in death by one son, Jeffrey C. Persinotti.

Funeral and burial services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Christian Community in Devon, 212 Old Lancaster Avenue, Devon, PA 19333.
