George Warren Boisbrun Jr., age 81, husband of Mary Anne (Jiuliano) Boisbrun, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Wednesday, April 22, 2020 with his loving wife of 59 years and his eldest daughter (Leigh) by his side. Born on February 22, 1939 in Germantown, PA, he was a son of the late George and Dorothy (Ballantyne) Boisbrun.
George graduated from Germantown High School, and received his Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Drexel University. After college, he worked for and eventually retired from the Philadelphia Gear Corporation in corporate sales. George was a faithful member of the St. David's Episcopal Church in Wayne, PA. During his high school years, he played baseball and football, which turned into a love of sports throughout his entire life. He continued that prowess in baseball at Drexel University. He loved watching the Philadelphia sports teams, but would watch any sports he could on TV. George enjoyed fixing and building things. He finished basements, and completed decks, including the family's enclosed deck at their former home on Drakes Drum Drive. George and Mary also had a passion for dancing. He would twirl her around the dance floor with his unique moves and style! His family will never forget how happy they looked when dancing together. George was also a founding member of the "Manhattan Club" with Mary and their special friends, Joe and Judy Swider (on the annual beach trip, the family would see George and Joe strolling over the dunes at 5 pm with their coolers in tow and smiles on their faces). Mary and George enjoyed time with their high school friends, the bridge group and the RAP community. George was a wonderful husband, and loving father, grandfather, and family man that will be missed by all.
In addition to his wife, George is survived by three children, Glenn, husband of Charisse Boisbrun of Richardson, TX, Leigh, wife of Dan Emerson of Phoenixville, PA, and Nicole, wife of Victor Paez of Cypress, TX; eight grandchildren, Blake Emerson, Kyle Emerson, Grant Boisbrun, Luke Emerson, Griffin Boisbrun, Grace Boisbrun, Justin Paez, and Genevieve Boisbrun; two nephews and one niece, Trey Woodring, Courtney Mooney, and John Jiuliano; and one sister-in-law, Phyllis, wife of the late Stanley Jiuliano. Mr. Boisbrun was preceded in death by one sister, Beverly, wife of the late Guy Woodring, sister-in-law, Rose DelNero, sister-in-law Mary, wife of the late Tony Jiuliano, and brother-in-law, Michael Jiuliano.
