George W. Dobson, age 86, of Spring City, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born on July 4, 1934 in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Joseph and Johanna (Kersbergen) Dobson.

George was a Retired U.S. Veteran and served his country proudly in the Army National Guard., He was employed as a stone mason, a caretaker for the former Law Farm in Birchrunville, a police officer serving East Pikeland Township under Chief Robert Gates, a driver guard for Johnson Matthey, a maintenance manager for Kimberton Rollerama and as a bus driver for the Wolfington Bus Company. George worked for many years at Shainline Excavating in Phoenixville in the maintenance department before his retirement. He was a dedicated member of the Kimberton Fire Company and enjoyed spending time at the Kimberton Fair each summer. In his spare time George enjoyed collecting and building model trains, photography, hunting and fishing on his property in Perry County, and supporting youth athletics such as the KYAL and the Quarter Midget Racing. George was not only a loving son, brother, uncle, but also a dear friend to everyone that had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.

George is survived by his two sisters, Joanna L. (Kenneth) Sheffer with whom he resided, and Constance (Noel) Baker; Five Brothers, Robert (Shirley) Dobson, Gerrit (the late Joan) Dobson, John (Patricia) Dobson, Kenneth (Karen) Dobson, Richard (the late Kathleen) Dobson;; and many other loving nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his nephew Christopher M. Good.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at St. Peter's Lutheran Church Pavilion, 1239 Clover Mill Road, Chester Springs, Pennsylvania on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 PM. Family and friends will be received prior to the services from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM at the pavilion. All attendees are requested to respectfully wear masks and follow social distancing protocols. Burial will be held privately in the Morris Cemetery, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania at the convenience of the family.
