George E. Capoferri, age 83, Husband of Emma Capoferri of Royersford, PA passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2026 surrounded by family. Born in Royersford, he was the son of Dorothy Heaney and George Capoferri.
George was born at Phoenixville Hospital in 1942 and was a resident of the Royersford area his an entire life. George was a graduate of Spring-Ford Area High School in 1961 and retired from CCX Trucking. After High School George worked various jobs until he took at job at Synthane Taylor in Royersford where he met his wife of 59 years Emma Capoferri.
George's primary career was in trucking, beginning with Jones Motors before he and Emma opened Capoferri's Custom Upholstery, which they operated for more than a decade. After closing the business, he returned to driving truck with CCX. Beyond his work, George was deeply involved in his community, serving for several years on the Royersford Zoning Board, acting as President of the William Penn Villas HOA, and volunteering as a baseball coach for Royersford Youth Athletic League and Babe Ruth. After retiring, he continued to stay active by driving a school bus for Metz Busing and the Primrose School of Royersford. During his retirement, he enjoyed golfing, traveling with Emma, serving as a member of the Spring-Ford Class of 1961 Reunion Planning Committee, and attending as many events as possible for his four grandchildren.
He is survived by his loving wife, Emma (née Toepel) Capoferri; his son, Happ Capoferri, and his wife, Katie, and their sons, Matthew and Michael; and his daughter, Alynn Purdy, and her husband, Scott, and their sons, Kyle and Colin. He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy Capoferri.
Relatives and friends will be received from 9:00 AM-10:00 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, July 9, 2026. A Funeral Mass will follow at Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, 838 Walnut St, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, July 9, 2026 at 10:30 AM. Burial will be held privately.
