George L. Milns, age 97, husband of Christine (Rowland) Milns, of Wyomissing, PA, formerly of North Coventry Township, PA died early Friday morning, August 28th, 2015 in the Reading Hospital. Born in Warwick Township, PA, he was a son of the late B. Frank Milns and Mary (Crouthamel) Milns. He was a 1935 graduate of the Warwick High School. He also was a graduate of the West Chester State Teachers College and the received his master's in education from the Temple University. Mr. Milns worked at his family dairy farm in Warwick Township for a number of years. He then worked as a principal of several elementary schools in the Souderton School District. He worked in the Souderton School District for over 21 years before retiring in 1979. He was formerly a very active member of the St. Peter's United Church of Christ Church in Knauertown, PA.

In addition to his wife of 73 years, Mr. Milns is survived by twin daughters: Ann E. Milns and Mary C. Milns, both of North Coventry Township, PA. He was preceded in death by one son: George L. Milns, Jr. and one sister: Esther I. Ross.

Funeral services and burial will be held privately in the St. Peter's United Church of Christ Cemetery in Knauertown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the St. Peter' UCC, P.O. Box 208, St. Peter's, PA 19470. The Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA is in charge of the arrangements. The family extends their appreciation to the Skilled Nursing Unit of the Highlands in Wyomissing for the kind care they extended to Mr. Milns.
