Gerald J. Hoff Sr., age 85, husband of the late Virginia (Heemskerk) Hoff, of Royersford, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 28, 2019 in the Arden Courts, King of Prussia Pennsylvania. Born on September 26, 1933 in Spring City, Pennsylvania, he was a son of the late Austin Hoff and Nevada (Catt) Isset.
Mr. Hoff was a graduate of Royersford High School class of 1951, after high school he enlisted in the U.S Navy and served his country from 1953 to 1957 as part of a Navy Airship Squadron. Jerry went on to work for over 40 years at the Bell Telephone Company of Pennsylvania where from which he would later retire. Jerry was a lifelong resident and staple in the Royersford community, he would volunteer his time for many years with the Spring City American Legion Baseball Stadium, coached his sons at the Lower Perkiomen Football program, and Royersford Little League, and active for many years in the Spring Ford Booster Club of which he was a founding member and past President. Jerry was also a dedicated member, as well as the Past Master of the Royersford Masonic Lodge 585. In his spare time Jerry enjoyed reading as much as he could, and was a history buff with a plethora of knowledge in many categories; Jerry’s loving wife of 46 years passed away 18 years ago. During their retirement years the couple enjoyed traveling and watching their grandchildren grow. But most of all he was a loving father, grandfather, great grandfather and dear friend to those who had the pleasure of knowing him and he will be missed by many.
Jerry is survived by his two Sons, Gerald J. (Sandra) Hoff Jr. of Royersford, PA, Andrew K. (Regina) Hoff of Limerick, PA; Two Daughters, Julia (Robert J. Barnett Jr.) Barnett of Royersford, PA, Elizabeth (Scott) Fulmer of Sanatoga, PA; Ten loving Grandchildren, and eight loving great grandchildren; Siblings , Faye (Louis) Viola, and Mary Beth (John) Salamone; , Robert (Martha) Swinehart; Sharon (Robert) Scarcelle, and Eileen (the late Victor) Lozinak; Jerry was also survived by his lifelong friends Jack & Lydia Krasley, and many loving nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents and loving wife of over 46 years, Virginia, Jerry was pre deceased by his brother, Patrick Hoff.
Relatives and friends are invited to viewing for Jerry on Saturday February 2, 2019 from 10:30 AM 12:00 PM at the Cattermole Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, Pennsylvania. The Masonic Funeral Ceremony will follow the viewing at 12:00 PM at the Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Fernwood Cemetery, Royersford, Pennsylvania.
