Gerald F. "Jerry" Moore, 80, husband of Lois (Sturges) Moore, of Kimberton, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010, in the Manatawny Manor. Born in Lower Providence, he was the son of the late George F. and Dorothy (Speece) Moore.

Mr. Moore was a 1947 graduate of Phoenixville High School and served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. He was currently working part-time for Chester County Development Council for 22 years and retired from the West Company in 1988, after 23 years as an accountant.

Jerry was a member and Past Treasurer of Centennial Lutheran Church, a Past Master and served as secretary for 26 years of the Phoenix Lodge #75 F&AM, a member of the Pottstown Royal Arch Chapter #198, the Palestine Council #8 of Phoenixville, and the Nativity Commandery #71. He was a life member of the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Spring City Forest #34, a member of the Consistory of Valley of Reading, the Rajah Shrine, the Red Cross of Constantine, the Brandywine Shrine Club, and the Conestoga Shrine Club.

Jerry was also a life member of the Sojourners #444, the USS Fulton AS-11 Association, the Spring City American Legion, Secretary and Treasurer of the Margaret Baker Memorial Fund, a member of the Kimberton Fire Company, Kimberton Grange, Phoenixville AARP #713, the Phoenixville Senior Center, the Senior Circle of the Phoenixville Hospital, the West Company Retirement Association, and the NRA.

In addition to his wife of 58 years, Mr. Moore is survived by two sons, Gary F., husband of Barbara Moore, of Bucktown, and Neal S., husband of Amanda Moore, of Downingtown, five grandchildren, Cody, Dana, Alexis, Collin, and Peyton Moore, one niece, and one grandniece.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jerry's visitation at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, on Thursday, August 19, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. with a Masonic Service at 8:00 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 20, at 11:00 a.m. at Centennial Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1330 Hares Hill Road, Kimberton, PA 19442 with the Rev. Stacie Dougherty officiating. Friends will be received from 10:30-11:00 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Church, please memo "handbell refurbishing fund."
