Geraldine M. "Geri" (Stango) Scholi, age 85, wife of the late Michael A. Scholi, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2023 in the Vitas Inpatient Hospice Unit, Philadelphia, PA. Born on June 2, 1937 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Michael and Angelina (Raioli) Stango.
Mrs. Scholi was a graduate of John W. Hallahan Catholic Girl's High School, class of 1955. She worked as a secretary for the Delaware County Sheriff's Office. She was a talented artist and created beautiful oil paintings. Mrs. Scholi enjoyed collecting antiques, was an enthusiastic fan of the Philadelphia Phillies, and she loved her iPad and scrolling through Facebook. Most of all, she was a selfless and devoted wife, mother and grandmother who deeply loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them.
Mrs. Scholi is survived by one daughter, Dawn M. Shemeluk of Ridley Park, PA; two grandchildren, Michael P. Jr., husband of Nicole Shemeluk and Ashley N. Shemeluk; one great-grandson, Brayden; and one brother, Michael Stango. She was preceded in death by one sister, Marie Stango.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her memorial service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in the Brownback's United Church of Christ Cemetery, Spring City, PA. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the funeral home.
