Obituary

Gertrude L. (Uebelhoer) Stewart, 93, of Chester Springs, passed away on Friday, August 13, 2010, in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born in Germany, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Centa Uebelhoer.

Mrs. Stewart was a member of St. Basil the Great R. C. Church. She was a homemaker and enjoyed cruises, traveling to the beach and to Europe. An avid gardener, she was one of the original founders of the Conestoga Garden Club.

Mrs. Stewart is survived by her daughter, Centa M. Logan, of Chester Springs, son, Robert J., husband of Judee Logan, of Fenwick Island, DE, sister Elizabeth Rada, of Trevose, two grandchildren, Kevin Logan, of CA and Colleen Logan, of VA, step-grandson, Mark Meltser, of PA, and two great grandchildren, John and Amber Logan. She was preceded in death by both of her husbands, Robert B. Logan and Henry M. Stewart.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate her funeral mass at St. Basil the Great R.C. Church, 2300 Kimberton Road, Kimberton, on Saturday, August 21, 2010, at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be the Rev. Gary T. Pacitti. Interment will follow in the St. Peter's Pikeland United Church of Christ Cemetery, Chester Springs. Friends will be received from 9:30-10:00 a.m. at the Church. Memorial gifts may be made in Mrs. Stewart's name to the Chester Springs Library, 1685-A Art School Road, Chester Springs, PA 19425, or to the Chester County SPCA, 1212 Phoenixville Pike, West Chester, PA 19380.
