Obituary

Gladys Louise Wunderlich, (nee Ritschard), age 92, wife of the late Roy J. Wunderlich, of East Coventry, PA, passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, October 12, 2022, with her family by her side. Born on January 22, 1930 in Kimberton, PA, she was the daughter of the late John H. and Alice (Moon) Ritschard.

Gladys attended school at the Phoenixville Area School District and later graduated from Lansdale School of Cosmetology. She assisted her husband for many years running Wunderlich's Garage which was their family business. She also worked for her daughter, Joan, as a nail technician at Nail Fantasies Salon in Trappe, PA.

Gladys loved traveling to her mountain house, crocheting afghans, shopping at the farm stands outside of Lancaster, and nature. Most of all, she loved her family, and spending time with them brought her the greatest joy.

Gladys is survived by her five children, Barbara Wunderlich (wife of the late John Taggart) of Ocean City, NJ, Gloria Jean Davis (wife of the late John Davis) of Elverson, PA, Ralph Wunderlich (Donna) of Douglassville, PA, John Wunderlich (Diane) of Douglassville, PA, and Joan Kehm (Gary) of Trappe, PA; eleven grandchildren, Mike, Tim, John, Jason, Chad, John, Amy, Rachel, Mark, Matthew, and Kelsey; eight great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; and one brother, John "Jack" (Kitty) Ritschard of Pottstown, PA. She was preceded in death by her seven siblings, Frank Ritschard, Albert Ritschard, Dorothy Taney, Henry Ritschard, Mildred Shannaman, William Ritshcard, and Marian Schweitzer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at 3:30 pm. Burial will be held in the St. Vincent U.C.C. Cemetery, Phoenixville, PA. Friends will be received from 2:30 pm - 3:30 pm Saturday afternoon at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the Alzheimer's Association by visiting www.alz.org/donate. Condolences may be made by visiting www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
