Gloria D. (Harris) Shaner, age 90, wife of the late Leonard F. Shaner, of East Coventry Township, passed away on Saturday, April 10, 2021 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on April 4, 1931 in Royersford, PA, she was a daughter of the late Albert and Alberta R. (Margerum) Harris.

Mrs. Shaner was a 1949 graduate of the Spring City High School. She was a member of the Parker Ford Church, and as a devoted Christian, she was a believer of the healing scriptures. She enjoyed attending prayer group and bible study, and faithfully read the bible twice daily. She worked as a machine operator for the Spring City Knitting Company for over 29 years, before working at the Kimberton Company in Phoenixville for over 13 years.

Mrs. Shaner is survived by two sons, Donald M., husband of Charlotte Shaner of Mineral, VA and Leonard F. Shaner, Jr. of East Coventry Township; and three grandchildren, Paul, Ted, and Damian Shaner. Mrs. Shaner was preceded in death by one sister, Joyce Oberholtzer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at Parker Ford Church, 20 Rinehart Road, Pottstown, PA 19465 on Thursday, April 15, 2021 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Carol Doering and Rev. Jay Doering. A private burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening, April 14, 2021 from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm at the church, or on Thursday morning from 10:00 am - 10:45 am.
