Obituary

Gordon V. Wells, age 87, of Spring City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, November 27, 2007, in his residence.? He was the husband of the late Florence V. (Peck) Wells.? Born in Camden, NJ, he was a son of the late Robert M. and Ella Mae (Verlander) Wells.?
Mr. Wells was a graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, Camden, and served an apprenticeship at the former Sunship.? He was employed as a design engineer for Boeing and American Machine and Tool Company, in Royersford.? ?He served in the United States Army during World War II.? Mr. Wells was a member of St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church.? He was also a member of Mt. Pickering Lodge #446 Free & Accepted Masons, the Tall Cedars of Lebanon Spring City No. 34, where he was a past treasurer for 19 years, the Gilbertsville Fire Co., the Spring City American Legion Thomas W. O'Connor Post 602, and a life member of the Frontier Archers ?
Mr. Wells is survived by, daughter Donna, wife of David Robinson, of Spring City, son Walter Lee, husband of Vicki Keller, of Wharton, TX, five grandchildren, four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.? He was preceded in death by two sister and one brothers.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at the St. Matthew's Evangelical Lutheran Church, 2440 Conestoga Road (Rt. 401), Chester Springs, PA, on Monday, December 3, 2007, at 11 AM.? Officiating will be the Rev. Chad W. Brekke.? Interment will be in the Pughtown Baptist Church Cemetery.? Friends may call from 6:30-8 PM Sunday, with a Masonic Service to follow, at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, and from 10-11 AM Monday at the Church.? In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center Home Hospice Care, 1600 E. High St., Pottstown, PA 19464.?
