Grace M. (Haldeman) Place, wife of the late Rev. Lester C. Place, of Royersford, PA, died early Friday morning, November 27, 2009 in the Manor Care of Pottstown. Born in Spring City, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Lovena (Springstead) Haldeman. She was a 1933 graduate of the Spring City High School, and a 1944 graduate of the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago.

Together with her husband they had a itinerant ministry for 43 years traveling throughout the United States amd six Provinces of Canada until Lester's home going in 1983. They received their call to the ministry at the Pinebrook Bible Conference, Stroudsburg, PA under the preaching of the late Dr. Harry A. Ironside. They made two sound films in Wheaton Illinois, three stereo albums and their life story has been portrayed on the "unshackled" radio program produced in the studios of the Pacific Garden Mission, Chicago. Grace hosted many bus trips with Hagey Company and sponsored Super Senior Sundays once a year at her home church of Berean Bible. As one of the Missionaries of the Church she had a Visitation Ministry and played piano in eight nursing homes each month. February 2003 marked her 60th consecutive year to drive out to Chicago to attend the Moody Founders Week Conference. Mrs. Place volunteered for over 22 years at the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center, retiring in 2005.

Mrs. Place is survived by One Sister; Jean I., wife of the late Flory DePietropaolo, of Royersford, Two Nieces and One Nephew. Mrs. Place was pre-deceased by One Sister; Evelyn Benfield.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Berean Bible Church, 2675 East High Street, Pottstown, PA on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Jace L. Erb. Burial will be in the Vincent Mennonite Church Cemetery, Spring City, PA. Friends will be received from 9-11:00 AM Wednesday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Berean Bible Church at the above address.
