G. Genevieve Forsberg of Royersford, passed away peacefully on Monday morning, at the age of 88, at the Golden Living Center in Phoenixville, PA. She was the wife of the late Reverend Dr. Charles Forsberg who passed away in 2007. She is survived by her six children; David Forsberg of Wisconsin; Dean Forsberg of Royersford; Dale Forsberg and wife Nancy of NY; Darrel and Wife Janet of Texas; Lynn Forsberg of Royersford; Lahna Forsberg of North Carolina; along with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
Born in Spirit, Wisconsin she was the daughter of Gust and Jennie (Blomberg) Donaldson. She graduated from Rib Lake High School in 1940 where she was named valedictorian of her class. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Royersford, PA where she worked as a talented administrative secretary for twenty-five years. She taught herself to play the piano as music was her greatest passion and gift in life. She started out as a paid soloist at the age of 16 and continued singing in church choirs and at public events as she was frequently asked to do.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial service at the Royerford Baptist Church, 452 S. Lewis Road, Royersford, PA 19468 on Palm Sunday, March 28, 2010 at 2:00PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Diabetes Foundation. Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced as soon as they are available.
