Obituary

H. Thomas Hall, age 77, husband of H. Janet (Scott) Hall, of East Nantmeal Township, died at home quietly on Saturday morning, May 1, 2010. Born in Ridley Park, PA, he was a son of the late Harry T. and Evelyn (Still) Hall. Mr. Hall was a 1951 graduate of the Prospect Park High School. He received is Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the Philadelphia College of Art. Mr. Hall worked as a professional illustrator for most of his career. Shanna and The Thornbirds were two very successful books which helped to make him a highly sought-after illustrator. He did hundreds of book covers for the top book publishers in the country. Mr. Hall also worked for many magazines including Reader's Digest, Saturday Evening Post and the National Geographic Magazine.

In addition to his wife of 53, years, Mr. Hall is survived by three sons; Thomas R (Pamela) Hall, Steven J. (Alice) Hall, D. Lance (Delinda) Hall, two brothers; Lawrence Hall, Christopher Hall, one sister; Marianne Sabadish, two grandchildren; Dilys and Brody.

Mr. Hall's life will be celebrated at a time and location to be determined at a later date. The Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA is in charge of the arrangements. Memorial gifts may be made to the Historic Yellow Springs, P.O.
