Harry H. Stephens, age 88, husband of the late Irene M. (Salomon) Stephens, whom he shared 60 years of marriage with prior to her passing in 2015, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2025 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on September 23, 1936 in Drexel Hill, PA, he was a son of the late Martha (Davis) and Ralph Stephens.
Mr. Stephens attended Delhaas High School in Bristol, PA before he enlisted in the United States Navy at the age of 17. He worked as a Union Carpenter for the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades District Council 21 in Philadelphia.
Mr. Stephens was an avid fisherman and loved serving and giving back to his community, including playing the part of Uncle Sam in the Dogwood Parade during the 1970s. He volunteered as a coach for all of his children's sports through PMYC and other local sports organizations, and was involved with the Boy Scouts and Indian Guides through the YMCA. He was a member of the Phoenixville Jaycees and was a social member of West End Fire Company in Phoenixville.
Mr. Stephens is survived by five children, Dawn, wife of Gene Cagle, Harry Stephens Jr., Steve, husband of Krista Stephens, Tracy, wife of Richard Cannon, and Gary Stephens; eleven grandchildren and twenty-seven great-grandchildren; five siblings, William Stephens, Terry Stephens, Ron Stephens, Patricia Seeders, and Mike Stephens; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by three siblings, Ralph Stephens Jr., Peggy Hughes, and Brenda Stephens.
