Harry E. Whitby Jr., age 74, husband of the late Rosemary Whitby of Collegeville, PA, formerly Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, August 18, 2024 in the Parkhouse Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, Royersford, PA. Born on July 30, 1950 in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of the late Harry E. Sr. and Gladys A. (Berg) Whitby.

Harry attended Phoenixville schools. He worked for Bachman's Potato Chips in Phoenixville prior to becoming a store associate at Giant, retiring in 2011.

Harry was an avid sports fan, especially of the Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies. He enjoyed word puzzles, especially word searches. He spent countless hours playing cards and watching western movies, and he was an animal lover.

Harry is survived by two siblings, Gloria, wife of the late Thomas Barnett of Collegeville, PA and William Whitby, husband of Anong who reside in Thailand; two nieces and a nephew, Pamela, wife of Edward Lantzy, Kimberly Nelligan, and Charles, husband of Tiffany Nelligan; eight great-nieces and great-nephews and five great-great nieces and great-great nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, Harry was preceded in death by one sister, Charleen Rickard.
