Harry "Suspenders" White, affectionately known as "Handsome Harry", of West Vincent, passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2011 at Paoli Hospital at age 71. He was the husband of Jean (Tyson) White.
He was born in Philadelphia, a son of the late Henry White and Sarah (Schwartz) White Wetherill and step-son of the late Proctor Wetherill. He attended Owen J. Roberts High School. Harry was a carrier for The Mercury, drove truck for Frame's Trucking and worked in security for Exton Mall.
In his early days, he drove for Goodwill Fire Company and Good Fellowship Ambulance of West Chester. He later was a founding member and Past-President of Ludwig's Corner Fire Company.
In addition to his wife of 52 years, he is survived by two sons: Henry Christopher White, of Carthage, N.C. and Timothy Craig, husband of Anne White, of Pottstown; and grandchildren: Joshua, Scott and Samantha. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Sherwood "Woody" White.
His Funeral Service will be held on Friday, April 15, 2011 at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St., Royersford, PA at 2:00 PM. Officiating will be Mr. Barry Delibero. Visitation is from 1-2 PM. Burial will be private.
