Harry O. Wynn, 87, of Eagle, formerly of Boyertown, died on January 9, 2014 in Neighborhood Hospice, West Chester, PA. He was the husband C. Anita Wynn, of Eagle and predeceased by his wife of forty-six years, Catherine “Kitty” (Weinsteiger) Wynn.
Born in 1926 in St. Peter’s Village, Chester County, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Viola (White) Wynn. He was a graduate of Warwick High School. Harry served in the Merchant Marines from 1945-1946 and the US Army from 1950 to 1952.
Harry was the General Manager of Builders Equipment and Supply Company, Pottstown, PA for twenty-two years retiring in 1992.
Active in the community, he was a member of Stichter Lodge #254 F.&A.M., Scottish Rite Consistory Valley of Reading, and Rajah Shrine, Reading. He was past president and a member of the Ambucs and a life member of Elks Lodge #814, both of Pottstown. He was an avid golfer and member of Blackwood Golf Course.
He is also survived by his daughters: Deborah (Robert) Lavariere, of Conway, AR; Judith (Ken Washington) Wynn, of Downingtown, and Mary (Mike) Wolf, of Boyertown. Four Grandchildren: Alyssa and Casey Washington, Lindsey and Spencer Wolf, and two step-grandchildren: Samantha and Jack Hug.
His funeral service will be held on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington St. Royersford, PA. Calling time is from 9-11 AM. Officiating will be Rev. John C. Kolle. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Boyertown. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to Neighborhood Hospice, 400 E Marshall St, West Chester, PA 19380 or Chester County Library System, 450 Exton Square Parkway, Exton, PA 19341.
