Obituary

Heather A. Brookins, age 51, wife of Neil G. Brookins, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away suddenly on Friday, November 19, 2021. Born on March 3, 1970 in Montreal, Canada, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth and Carol (Woodcock) Aitken.

Heather graduated from The Patterson School in Lenoir, North Carolina. She went on to earn two Bachelor's degrees, the first from Neumann University in Liberal arts, and the second from Alvernia University in Nursing. While studying nursing, she held multiple jobs, including work at Domino's Pizza, several pharmaceutical and medical lab companies, fifteen years as a phlebotomist, and as a nurse extern. Throughout her nursing career, she had a deep desire and dedication to care for her patients, which was evident to all she had the honor of treating. Along with her husband, she was currently the owner of a local real estate investing company. She was an active member of Pilot Club of Valley Forge. Heather enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time in her pool, and horseback riding. She loved being with her pets, which included her two dogs, three cats, and two fish.

In addition to her husband, Heather is survived by one sister, Debbie, wife of Dave Clasen of Chicago, IL; her mother-in-law, Ellie, wife of the late Lee Brookins of Walton, NY; a brother-in-law, Russ Brookins of Rome, NY; a niece, Sam Brookins, aunt, Joann Woodcock; uncle, Ken Woodcock of West Grove, PA; cousins, Chris and Kim Woodcock.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral ceremony at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc, 610 South Main Street, Phoenixville, Pennsylvania on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Pr. Craig Van Kouwenberg. Burial will be held in the Highland Memorial Park, Pottstown, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 11:00 am Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to the National Alliance on Mental Health, NAMI, P.O. Box 49104, Baltimore, MD 21297.
