Obituary

Heather A. Sykes, age 53, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on February 2, 1970 in Upland, PA, she was a daughter of the late Glenn E. and Hilda M. (Sollinger) Sykes.

Heather graduated from The Christian Academy in Brookhaven, PA, and she received her Bachelor's degree from Taylor University in Upland, IN. She began her working career in the business office of Dr. Kodumal in Woodlyn, PA. For the past 22 years, she worked in finance and operations at Eastern University, most recently as the purchasing manager.

Heather was an active member of the Faith Community Church in Brookhaven, and more recently she has been attending New Story Church in Phoenixville. Heather loved and cherished spending time with her nieces and nephews, as well as the great-nieces and nephews. She enjoyed traveling to Lancaster and Longwood Gardens, and was never one to pass up a beautiful sunset. She looked forward to shows at the Sight and Sound Theatre, and she liked going to the movies.

Heather is survived by her three brothers, Glen A., husband of Cora Sykes, Paul E., husband of Julie Sykes, and William J. "Bill" Sykes; nieces and nephews, Courtney Sykes, Kiersten Sykes, Divanna Brant, Kasey Sykes, Mandy Sykes, Libby Sykes, Noah Sykes, Lealiki Sykes, and Michael Sykes; great-nieces and nephews, Makinley Sykes, Winter Peine, Laikyn Peine, Parker, Auriella, Wells, Aveline, and Ethan; cousins, Dawn Smith and Daniel Sykes; and her lifelong close friend, Lisa Roach.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be Pastor Glen A. Sykes. Friends will be received from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home Monday morning. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her name to The Christian Academy by visiting tca-pa.org/giving or to the National Kidney Foundation by visiting kidney.org/donate.
