Helen Powell Morgan, died peacefully in her sleep on August 16, 2022. She led a 91 yearlong life which included many diverse interests. A proud graduate of Abington High School and Cedar Crest College she will be known for her unparalleled taste and unique style.

She was married to Theodore S. "Ted" Morgan for almost 68 years. Helen was the proud daughter of James C. and Sophia H. Powell of Abington, Pennsylvania where her father owned the local Pharmacy.

Lightning struck when Helen met Ted, a handsome Lafayette College man with impeccable manners. Both only children, they married shortly after graduation. Perfectly matched, Helen and Ted enjoyed an envious love affair including spirited debates, endless laughter and a large group of friends. They shared a love of travel, the great outdoors and were fiercely loyal to each other. Until recently Helen hiked over a mile a day and tended to her large and diverse garden.

A Patriot at heart Helen loved her Country, County and Community. She was an avid painter enjoying decades of improving her craft for over 80 years. She will be dearly missed at her home which she shared with many and has one of the best views in Pennsylvania.

Helen was very creative and attended college at the same time as her three children; Jeffrey, Leslie and Stacey, to get a second college degree to design her iconic home so that she and Ted could age gracefully in place. Generous to a fault, she and her husband donated their land to the Pickering Trust. For many years, Helen served on the East Pikeland Environmental Council.

Her entertaining and cooking skills were unmatched and all who were fortunate to spend time at her homes never forgot Helen's hospitality with her husband, Ted, by her side. In the Summer they moved their spirited fun to Ocean City, New Jersey where again they enjoyed one of the best views on the Island for decades.

Helen loved her life and was forever grateful that a Daughter of the Great Depression could have such fortune in life, love and long-term friendships; some which spanned since grade school.

She is survived by her loving husband Theodore S. Morgan, her beloved dog Dixie, three children, five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
