Helen M. (Vogel) Swanson, age 84, wife of the late William P. Swanson, of Phoenixville, passed away on Sunday morning, September 4, 2011 in the Kindred Hospital. Born in Baltimore, MD, she was a daughter of the late John and Ann (Zsenyuch) Vogel.

Mrs. Swanson worked for and retired from the West Co. in Phoenixville. She liked to watch NASCAR and local sports teams. She also enjoyed to crochet and read.

Mrs. Swanson is survived by six children: William, Barbara, John, Raymond, Joseph, and Scott Swanson, all of Phoenixville; two grandchildren, Erica and Edward Swanson, Jr.; and two great-grandchildren, Haley and Richard. In addition to her husband, she was predeceased by two sons, Edward and Thomas; and one brother, Leo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville on Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM. Officiating will be the Reverend John J. Newns. Burial will follow in St. Ann Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Thursday morning from 10:00-11:00 AM.
