Henry E. Clare, MD, of Audubon, died on August 30 in Bryn Mawr Hospital at age 74. He was the husband of Dorigen M. Clare.
Dr. Clare was born in Pittsburgh to the late Richard H. and Margaret B. Clare. He graduated from Gettysburg College , and received his MD from the University of Pennsylvania Medical School. He also served in the US Army at Fort Benning, GA.
Dr. Clare, a retired psychiatrist, was in private practice for 38 years, and most recently served on the staff of Paoli Hospital. He was an avid bird watcher, voracious reader, and lover of classical music.
In addition to his wife of 50 years, he is survived by three sons: Robert A. and his wife Lorraine Clare, of Wayne, John E. Clare, of Audubon and Kenneth A. and his wife Dana, of Olney, MD and five grandchildren.
