Obituary

Henry Conrad Chmielefski Sr., age 65, Husband of Jerrianne (Schellhammer) Chmielefski passed away on Thursday, August 3, 2023 in his residence, due to complications of Progressive Supranuclear Palsy (PSP), a disease similar to Parkinson's. Born in Glenolden, he was the Son of Helen (Koehler) and Henry Chmielefski.
Henry was a graduate of Interboro High School Class of '76, continued his education, graduated from Delaware County Community College in 1984 and then Philadelphia Institute of Technology in 1992. Henry designed CAD systems for both radio and television towers and was a member of Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia. Henry also worked as an Engineer Designer for HVAC for more than 30 years. Henry collaborated as a ghost writer for Sam Lit on "The Hy Lit Story". He was an avid and eclectic collector of all things DC comics, especially Batman, attended many conventions, both comic books and Sci-Fi, and acted as security for a few Star Trek conventions. He was a founding member of Alpha Omega, a Christian Fanzine. More than just a fan, Henry owned and operated his own store, the "Comic Closet" in Phoenixville from 1986-1995. Henry was a man of faith. A Christian and Freemason, devoted his time and stayed active in his church he attended, Christ's Church of the Valley.
Henry is survived by his wife Jerrianne, his children Matthew (Rachel), Kathleen, Sarah, Justin, and Joseph. Three Grandchildren Anna, Ronin, and Mack. He was preceded in death by his first wife LuAnn (Gunnella) Chmielefski, and two sons Henry Jr., and Timothy.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Henry's Celebration of Life Saturday August 18, 2023 1pm at Christ's Church of the Valley with food and fellowship to follow.
