Henry L. Fritz, 85, husband of Margaret H. (Wood) Fritz, formerly of Skippack Twp., died Friday, February 12, 2016 in Masonic Homes at Elizabethtown, where they had resided over the last year and a half.

Born on September 19, 1930 in Upper Providence Twp., PA, he was a son of the late Bernard and Sallie (Heckler) Fritz. He was a graduate of Spring City High School. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Navy as an aviation structural mechanic.

Mr. Fritz worked as a millwright for Allenwood Steel and Rees Weaver Contracting, Evansburg, PA until retiring.

He was a member of Perkiomen Lodge #595 Free and Accepted Masons. He enjoyed woodworking, antiques and restoring old cars.

In addition to his wife of 63 years, he is survived by son; Glenn R., husband of Holly Fritz of Collegeville, PA; daughter, Cheryl L., wife of Thomas Gamon IV of Schwenksville, PA; grandchildren: Tara Grant, Andrew, husband of Heather Fritz, Emily Fritz, Thomas Gamon V, and Danielle Gamon; great-grandchildren: Shelby Elizabeth Gamon and Thomas Gamon VI. Sistter, Rae, wife of Charles Walker, of Elizabethtown, PA. He was also preceded in death by a great-grandson, Damien Alexander Blough.

Services will be private. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his memory to The Masonic Childrens' Home, 1 Masonic Drive, Elizabethtown, PA 17022.
