Henry B. "Jake" Gottshall, age 78, husband of Carolyn (Fry) Gottshall, of Royersford, PA died suddenly early Thursday morning, March 26, 2009 at home. Born in Spring City, he was a son of the late Henry M., and Ruth (Buckwalter) Gottshall. Mr. Gotshall attended the former Royersford High School. He had been a member of the former Mingo Church of the Brethren. More recently, he was supporting the First United Church of Christ in Royersford. Mr. Gottshall was a life long farmer. He farmed on the family farm in Limerick Township.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mr. Gottshall is survived by four children; Larry F., husband of Nancy (Kratz) Gottshall, of Harleysville, Barbara A. Swanson, of Royersford, Lloyd E., husband of Tina (Taglieber) Gottshall, of Royersford, Darlene L., wife of Bill Canning, of Douglassville, PA, seven grandchildren, two great grandsons, and two nieces. Mr. Gotshall was predeceased by one son; John Henry Gottshall, one granddaughter; Melissa Danae Adams, and one bother; Earl Gottshall.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA on Tuesday afternoon, March 31, 2009 at 2:00PM. Officiating will be Kate Davidheiser. Burial will be in the Mingo Cemetery, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received Monday evening, 7-8:30PM or Tuesday afternoon from 1:30-2pm at the funeral home.
