Herman T. Rose, age 77, husband of Joan A. (Wolf) Rose, of Barto, PA, passed away on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 in Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. Born on January 1, 1944 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of the late Henry W. and Mazie B. (Heimbach) Rose.

Mr. Rose was a graduate of Schwenksville High School. He worked as a die cast technician at Doehlers for 38 years, before retiring from Service Electric Cablevision as a facility worker for 10 years. Mr. Rose honorably served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War, attaining the rank of Sergeant and serving in Germany. He was a lifelong member of the St. Luke's Lutheran Church in Obelisk, PA. A 32nd Degree Freemason, he was a member of the Perkiomen Lodge No. 595 FandAM, as well as the Shriners Blue Lodge. Mr. Rose was a hard worker, and he enjoyed mowing his own lawn as well as donating his services to others, hunting, and spending time with his family. He was also an avid Philadelphia sports fan, and enjoyed watching Nascar and attending dirt track racing at Grandview Speedway.

In addition to his wife of 56 years, Mr. Rose is survived by two children, Torie L. Shaffer of Douglassville, PA and Tony A.T. Rose of Zieglerville, PA; two grandchildren, Daulton Shaffer and Aspyn Shaffer; three siblings, William Rose, David, husband of Randi Rose, and Joan C. Rose; and many nieces and nephews. Mr. Rose was preceded in death by two brothers, Leroy Rose and John Rose.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral ceremony at St. Luke's Lutheran Church, 3206 Big Road, Zieglerville, PA on Monday, July 12, 2021 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Christian McMullan and Rev. Mary Etta Mest. Burial will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Monday at the Church, and a Masonic service will take place at 10:30 AM.
