Hilda J. (Mekenie) Mayoros, 85, wife of the late Ollie L. Mayoros, of Royersford, formerly Philadelphia, passed away on Sunday, August 26, 2018 in her residence. Born on July 28, 1933 in Rivesville, West Virginia, she was a daughter of the late Julia (Dvorick) and Michael Mekenie.

Mrs. Mayoros enjoyed cooking, baking and eating. She liked to visit diners so much so that she could give Guy Fieri a run for his money. Her favorite diner was Daiai's Diner on Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia. Hilda also raised two of her grandchildren, Victoria and Walter, from the time they were young.

Mrs. Mayoros is survived by a daughter: H. Jane Mayoros, wife of Wayne Laverty, of Royersford; four grandchildren: Michael Lavin, of Watertown, NY, Matthew Lavin, of New York, NY, Victoria Carmer of Oskaloosa, IA and Walter High, III, of Telford, PA; five great-grandchildren; and a brother: Michael Mekenie, of Alexandria, VA. She was preceded in death by two children: Suzanne E. Slapkus and Thomas J. Mayoros.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hilda's name to the American Heart Association, P.O.
