Horace Ira "Herm" Shaeff, age 81, husband of the late Joan Marie (Getty) Shaeff and Mary Alice (Trowbridge) Shaeff, of Royersford and formerly of Norristown, passed away on Thursday, June 22, 2017 in Pottstown Memorial Medical Center.

Born on June 26, 1935 in Norristown, he was a son of the late Horace and Myrtle (Ferrill) Shaeff. He was a graduate of A.D. Eisenhower High School class of 1953. Herm was an Army veteran serving with NATO forces in Germany. An electronics technician, he worked at Philco Ford in Lansdale and Spring City, was a partner in Ready-Mac in Bridgeport and later worked at Packaging Films and Equipment in Collegeville.

In addition to his wife he is survived by a Daughter, Kerstin J., wife of Richard Zadrejko of King Of Prussia; Son, Christopher S., husband of Linda Smith of Downey, CA; Foster Daughter, Gayle (Overdorf) Smith of Eckert, CO; Grandchildren: Andrew, Kendra and Kira Zadrejko and five Petrecz step-children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Mass at St. Patrick's R.C. Church, 714 DeKalb St. , Norristown, PA 19401 on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Augustus C. Puleo. Burial will be held in the Riverside Cemetery. Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at the church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Patrician Society (Food Pantry) Norristown, 121 E. Chestnut St., Norristown, PA 19401.
