Obituary

Howard J. Berish, age 80, son of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Fisher) Berish, of Royersford, PA, died Saturday morning, July 18, 2009 in his home in Royersford. He was born in Hazelton, PA. Mr. Berish formerly resided at the Pennhurst Center in Spring City until it closed in the early 1980's. He was a member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford. He worked for many years at the former "Best Spot in Town" restaurant in Royersford. He also detailed cars and trucks for many friends and residents of Royersford. Mr. Berish enjoyed bus trips to Atlantic City, attending car and truck races, and walking through Royersford talking to all of his friends. He will be missed by many of the residents of Royersford.

Mr. Berish is survived by four brothers; Charles Berish of Downingtown, John, Joe, and Bill Berish of Hazelton, PA. Mr. Berish is also survived by his dear friends and caretakers, John Nall, Meda Maron, Debbie and Gary Brower. Mr. Berish was pre-deceased by one brother; Frank Berish.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road and Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday morning, July 23, 2009 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Timothy M. Judge. Burial will be in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 9:00 - 9:45 AM Thursday morning at the Church. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the "Sacred Heart Church", P.O. Box 64, Royersford, PA 19468. Arrangements are being handled by the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA. Condolences may be made online at www.RoyersfordFuneralHome.com.
