Ida (DePietropaolo) Sierzega, 83, wife of Carl W. Sierzega, of Royersford, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015, in the Pottstown Memorial Medical Center. Born in Royersford, she was a daughter of the late Pacifico and Concetta (Narcisi) DePietropaolo.

Mrs. Sierzega was a 1949 graduate of Royersford High School. She had been employed at Diamond Glass and Uniform Tube, but spent most of her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed walks at Valley Forge Park, reading and crocheting, was a member of Spring Valley Y and loved hiking and trips out west. She was always there for her family and loved spending time with her grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Sierzega is survived by her children, Connie Ann, wife of Scott G. Hagy, of Douglassville, Theresa M. Gilmore, of Stevens, Joan P. Amstutz, of West Chester, and Kenneth F. Sierzega, husband of Sandy Shinn, of Vienna, VA; brother, Edward DePietropaolo, of Royersford; grandchildren, Kimberly, Bryan, Matthew, Johnny, Ryan, Rachel, Anthony and Megan; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two children, Diane S., wife of John B. Ware, of Berwyn, and Joseph C. Sierzega; and siblings, Mary Vargo and Anthony DePietropaolo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral mass on Thursday, March 12, 2015, at 10:30 am at the Sacred Heart R.C. Church, Walnut Street and Lewis Road, Royersford. Officiating will be the Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Interment will follow in the Fernwood Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:15-10:15 am.
