J. Vitus Hammerle, husband of the late Barbara Ann (Adam) Hammerle, of Royersford, PA, died Sunday, October 25, 2015 in the Parkhouse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Upper Providence Township, PA. Born on July 28, 1932 in Bronx, New York, he was a son of Vitus and Veronica (Schiele) Hammerle. Mr. Hammerle was the farmer on his family farm in Spinnerstown. He then worked as Machine Operator for B.F. Goodrich until they closed the business. He worked as a custodian at Spring-Ford School District before retiring in 1997. Mr. Hammerle was a member of the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Limerick. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, farming and spoke fluent German. He was an avid New York Yankees and Giants fan. .
Mr. Hammerle is survived by Daughter, Lori A., wife of Bill Thomas of East Greenville, PA; Two Sons, Vitus J. Hammerle of Royersford, PA, Michael R., husband of Dawn Hammerle of Phoenixville, PA; Three Grandchildren, Emma Hammerle, Nathan Hammerle, Corey Hammerle; Sister, Louise, wife of Richard Fronheiser of Pennsburg, PA; and three nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral Mass at the Blessed Teresa of Calcutta Roman Catholic Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Paul C. Brandt. Burial will be held in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Pennsburg, PA. Friends will be received from 8:30 am - 9:30 am Saturday morning at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA.
