Obituary

Jack Cerini, age 82, of South Coventry, PA, formerly of Staten Island, NY died Friday morning, June 5, 2009 in the Coventry Manor Nursing Home. Born in Hamburg, Germany, he was a son of the late Hermann and Rosa (Rubichek) Cerini. Mr. Cerini attended Widener University and worked for the Staten Island Department of Corrections for many years. He was instrumental in the re-organizing of the entire Department of Correction in Staten Island.

Mr. Cerini is survived by two nieces; Debbie Damone, Barbara O'Brien, one nephews; Ron Cerini, many great nieces and nephews, and his sister-in-law. Mr. Cerini was preceded in death by one brother, Ralph Cerini.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Graveside service at the Ocean View Cemetery, 3315 Amboy Rd, Staten Island, NY 10306 on Thursday, June 11, 2009 at 1PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made in his name to the Humane Society of the United States, 2100 L Street, NW Washington, DC 20037.
