Jacob Allen Beard Jr., 86, of Chester Springs, PA, passed away on Sunday, June 24, 2018. Born July 2, 1931 in Valley Forge, PA, he was a son of the late Jacob Allen Beard Sr. and Dora (Famous) Beard. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Dudas) Beard, whom passed in 2016 and his twin brother, Francis R. Beard, whom passed away in 2011.

Jake served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War aboard the aircraft carriers USS Midway, USS Intrepid, and the USS Wasp. He retired from Superior Tube Co. in Collegeville as a maintenance electrician. His passion in life besides his wife and children was his love of motorcycles, to which he rode until the fall of 2017.

Jake is survived by three sons, Kenneth, Ronald, husband of Janie, Allen, husband of Kathy, and two daughters, Donna and Linda, wife of Mark; five grandchildren, Laura Jane, David, Alyson, Jason and Ryan; and many nieces and nephews.
