Jacob Ryan Nay Schaff, 27 years of age, passed away on Wednesday, June 4th, 2025.

Jacob (Jake) was born on February 9th, 1998, in Bryn Mawr Hospital to parents David and Melody (Nay) Schaff.

Growing up, Jacob and his loving parents had fun together at the shore, visiting museums, zoos, ice skating rinks, historical sites, and baseball games. Jacob had fun playing games in the neighborhood, taking music classes, training in karate (Black belt), and fishing. As an Owen J Roberts Alumni (Class of 2016), he excelled in the music program playing the saxophone for the jazz, marching, and concert bands. Senior year, he was awarded the Louis Armstrong Award. With his passion for music, he learned to play numerous instruments (sax, bass, piano, and banjo) and with friends, organized the Jamz Festival event where various local bands came to perform. He continued playing the saxophone for Ursinus College's jazz band, where he earned a Bachelor's Degree in Finance in 2020. Jake had many friends with whom he made unforgettable memories throughout his school years.

Jake had an adventurous spirit for travel and the outdoors. He always loved to take his friends sailing, fishing, hiking, and snorkeling, and in his 20s, he traveled throughout the US, the Caribbean, Europe, and Australia. He had a love for animals and nature, passions that he enjoyed sharing with others.

Further showing his love for the outdoors, Jake worked at Marsh Creek Watersports for 11 years as an Operational Manager and Program Director. He rose to be a fixture at the lake; he was one of its hardest workers and an inspirational leader to all his coworkers.

Jake also had a witty personality. He was always crafting the next perfect joke to give his friends and family a smile.

Jake is survived by his parents David and Melody, grandmother Estelle "Bubbie" Schaff, his Uncle Mark and Aunt Cyndi, his Uncle Gary and Aunt Denise, his loving girlfriend of five years, Bri, and countless devoted friends. Jacob was preceded in death by his "PopPop" Leonard Schaff, "Grandpa" Eugene Nay , and "Grandma Carolyn (Denney) Nay.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service on Saturday, June 14, 2025, at 1:30 PM at Hope Community Church, 150 E. Beidler Road, King of Prussia, PA. Officiating will be Pastor Roman Kupecky. Interment will follow in the Washington Memorial Chapel Churchyard. Friends will be received from 12:00 - 1:30 PM at the Church.

Jacob enriched all of our lives with his love, friendship, joy, adventure, humor, and devotion. He was a light in this world who will be missed more than any words could say.
