Obituary

Jacqueline Mae (Solverson) Faustino, age 79, wife of Harry Faustino, of West Chester, Pennsylvania, passed away on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 in the Chester County Hospital, West Chester. Born on December 11, 1943 in Philadelphia, she was a daughter of the late Esther Morris and Thomas Solverson.

Jackie was a one of a kind spirit who loved her family and friends to the moon and back. She also loved her cats, Titan and Apollo, and gave a loving home to many other cats over the years. She made sure those around her knew she loved them, and took great care to show them. Jackie was a "straight shooter" who always told you how it was, never afraid to tell you what she thought. She loved talking to people and sharing stories about her life, recalling important life lessons she had learned and giving advice when she could. It was well known that when someone said, "I love you," she would always respond with, "I love you more!"

Jackie loved crafting with her granddaughters, taking family vacations to the shore and mountains, and going on trips to the casino with her husband. Jackie had a positive outlook on life and never had a "why me" attitude. She received a liver transplant in 2008 and always expressed her joy to be able to enjoy her life and family much longer than expected. She greatly missed her granddaughter, Mandy, and truly believed that she'd be with her again. She made sure to involve herself in the Walk of Life every year, celebrating Mandy's life and how her granddaughter was able to be a donor to those in need. Jackie never wanted her passing to be a sad memorial, but a lively reflection of the life she lived and the love she gave.

In addition to her loving husband of 60 years, Jackie is survived by her children: Eva Marie, wife of Anthony DiGirolomo and Frank Thomas, husband of Candace Faustino; grandchildren: Ashley, wife of Brendan Smith, Danielle, Megan, Gianna and Lucia; great-granddaughter: Audrey Amanda Smith; and siblings: Sandra Allebach and Thomas Solverson. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter: Amanda DiGirolomo; and brother: Michael Solverson.

Funeral services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made in Jacqueline's name to Gift of Life by making a donation payable to "Gift of Life" and mailing to Gift of Life Donor Program, 401 N. 3rd Street, Philadelphia, PA 19123 or at https://www.donors1.org/give-to-gift-of-life/.
