James (Jim) D. Andrews Sr., age 74, husband of Carol Ann (Simes) Andrews of Royersford, PA, passed away Monday morning, August 18, 2025 in his home surrounded by family. Born on February 24, 1951 in Phoenixville, PA, he was the son of the late Seth H. and Betty J. (Bergstresser) Andrews.
Jim was a graduate of Spring-Ford High School class of 1969, then went on to earn his apprenticeship as a Tool and Die Maker. He worked 40+ years as a machinist for Synthane Taylor, Wagner Electric, and American Alloy Fabricators. He was a member of the Royersford Church of the Nazarene.
Jim grew up with a love for the outdoors that became his passion. He spent countless hours in the woods and on the river banks, finding joy in a sunrise over a fishing pond or in a crisp autumn morning in his tree stand. Jim was happiest with the rod or bow in his hand with family nearby. He believed the best lessons in life were taught doing what you loved, whether it was hunting, fishing, watching his grandchildren play sports, or camping with family and friends. In his free time, he also enjoyed watching old westerns and hunting television shows.
Mr. Andrews is survived by his wife Carol Ann (Simes) Andrews; his four children, Kimberly, wife of Jimmy Galloway of Bechtelsville, PA, Jimmy, fiancé of Denise Woods of Royersford, PA, Heather, wife of Tommy Haag, Jr. of Royersford, PA, and Stacey, wife of Jamie Fetterolf of Linfield, PA; fifteen grandchildren; one great grandchild and one on the way.
