James Wray "Butch" Brewer, Jr., age 73, husband of Deborah J. (Miller) Brewer, of Collegeville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 1, 2021 in his residence, surrounded by loving family. Born on December 6, 1947 in Pottstown, to the late James W. and Edna M. (McVey) Brewer.

A graduate of Phoenixville High School, Butch had been a 2nd generation electrician, working with his father for several years. In 1973, he branched out, and has since been the owner of Brewer Electric Inc. Butch had several hobbies in which he enjoyed and excelled: hunting with his father and friends in his younger years turned into being nationally recognized by the National Rifle Association as one of America's Top Rifleman. He was also a member of the Kimberton Fish and Game Association.

Butch was a member of the West End Fire Company, in Phoenixville, proudly serving for 25 years before becoming Fire Chief for the borough of Phoenixville for 4 years. After his firefighting years, he became a member of the SCCA Car Club of America. He attended the Bondurant School of high performance driving for the advanced road racing course. He owned two race cars in which he raced throughout the country, always involving family and friends. His last race was the Silver State Classic Challenge in Las Vegas, Nevada in 2012.

Most importantly, Butch was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.

In addition to his loving wife, Butch is survived by his children: Beth Lynn Brewer-Stoeckl of Ephrata and Charles J Kinzinger., husband of Kelly Kinzinger of Richmond, VA; seven grandchildren: Petty Officer 2nd Class US Navy Griffin Wray Stoeckl, Payton Faith Stoeckl, Karson Jae Stoeckl, Kane Avery Stoeckl, Jacob Pfeifle Kinzinger, Tyler James Kinzinger and Shane Estelle Kinzinger.

Friends will be received from 10:00 am - 11:00 am Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic a funeral service will be held privately at the convenience of the family. A celebration of Butch's life will be announced for a future date when family and friends can safely gather together.
