James O. Exley, age 70, husband of the late Elizabeth (Noble) Exley, of Royersford, PA, died Monday evening, September 29th, 2008 at home.? Born in Craig, CO, he was a son of the late Orin K., and Eula (Whitmarsh) Exley.? Mr. Exley was a graduate of the Moffitt County High School in Colorado, and the Navy Music School, Great Lakes.? A veteran, he served for the U.S. Navy. He was an accomplished musician.? Mr. Exley was a very active member of the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church in Royersford for many years.? He and Elizabeth founded the junior choir at the church which they directed for many years, and held several leadership roles in the Church over the years.? Mr. Exley was also a past president of the Spring-Ford Babe Ruth League, and was a member of the Navy Musicians Association.?
Mr. Exley is survived by three sons; Paul K., husband of Lori (Tucker) Exley, of Royersford, Stephen C. Exley, of Royersford, Christopher W., husband of Carole (Youells) Exley, of Royersford, and six grandchildren.?
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at the Church of the Epiphany, 209 S. 3rd Avenue, Royersford, PA on Saturday afternoon, October 4th, 2008 at 5:00PM.? Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family.?
