James J. Golie, Jr., age 69, husband of Regina T. (Mizak) Golie, of Royersford, PA, died Friday, February 17, 2017 in Phoenixville Hospital after a very brief illness. Born on January 23, 1948 in Pottstown, PA, he was a son of James Sr. and Jeanne (Christman) Golie. He was a 1965 graduate of Phoenixville High School. Mr. Golie worked as an Electrician for the IBEW Local 380 for over 33 years before retiring in 2003. He was a long term member of the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church in Royersford, PA. He was an avid poker player and was a softball pitcher in the Spring-Ford Adult Recreation league for many years. Jim enjoyed cooking for his family and babysitting his grandchildren. He was a lifetime social member of the American Italian Bocce Club, the Friendship Fire Co., and Liberty Steam Fire Engine Co. #1.

In addition to his wife of 45 years, Mr. Golie is survived by Son, Christopher J., husband of Amy Golie of Schwenksville, PA; Daughter, Erin J., wife of David Przasnyski of Collegeville, PA; Five Grandchildren, Evan, Sarah, Shane, Alex, Ella; Sister, Cynthia, wife of Charles "Butch" Mohn of Parker Ford, PA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at the Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Friends will be received from 6:30 pm - 8:00 pm Wednesday evening or from 9:00 - 10:00 am Thursday morning at the Cattermole - Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA.
