James L. "Jim" Vance, age 65, husband of Carolyn M. (Kucinic) Vance, of Spring City, PA, passed away peacefully Saturday afternoon, September 24, 2016 at Phoenixville Hospital. Born on July 21, 1951 in Cleveland, OH, he was a son of James and Stella (Gbur) Vance. He was a graduate of Padua High School. He received his Bachelor's of Chemical Engineering degree from Cleveland State University, his Master's of Chemical Engineering degree from the University of Kentucky, and his MBA from the University of Dallas. Mr. Vance worked as an assistant plant manager for Occidental Chemical Corporation, Pottstown, PA.
In addition to his wife of 40 years, Mr. Vance is survived by Daughter, Jessica Vance Sutton, wife of Michael Sutton of Holly Springs, NC; Two Sisters, Kathie, wife of Toby Tomazic of Lexington, KY and Karen, wife of John Dougherty of Cleveland, OH; Sister-in-Law, Bernadine Vance, of Cleveland, OH; Life Long Friend, Rudy, husband of Patty Radva of Cleveland, OH; and many Nieces and Nephews. Mr. Vance was pre-deceased by Brother, Ronald Vance and Sister, Judie Myers.
Friends will be received from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm Wednesday evening, September 27, 2016 at Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 10 am at St. Columbkille R.C., 6740 Broadview Rd., Parma, OH 44134. Visitation at the church will be from 9:00 am to 10:00 am.
