James D. McArthur, age 53, of Spring City, PA, passed away on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on July 17, 1967 in Phoenixville, PA, he was a son of the late Dorothy Miller and Donald G., husband of Maryann McArthur of Pottstown, PA. He attended Spring-Ford High School and was a talented contractor and carpenter for many years.

Mr. McArthur is survived by one daughter, Veronica McArthur of Spring City, PA; two brothers, Steve, husband of Michele (Martin) Austin of Spring City, PA and Elbert Devine of Morgantown, PA; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his mother, Mr. McArthur was preceded in death by one sister, Penny Austin.

James, who went by Jimmy or Jimmy Mac most of the time, loved spending time with his daughter Veronica. Most recently, he built her a beautiful new front porch that she will cherish forever. Jimmy was also a great cook and an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. He enjoyed listening to music, especially Green Day and Pearl Jam. He loved his family and friends immensely. If he were able, he would give them the world. Sadly, Jimmy had hardships throughout his life that prevented him to do so. At last, he is free from those and may rest in peace now.
