James A. Moran III, age 72, husband of Kathleen M. (Dugan) Moran, of Royersford, PA, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2015 at home. Born in Philadelphia, he was a son of the late James A. Jr. and Ava Marie (Reardon) Moran.

Mr. Moran was a 1959 graduate of St. Joseph Preparatory High School, a 1963 graduate of St. Joseph University, and received his MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania in 1967. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Royersford, and had attended St. Basil Catholic Church in Kimberton and St. Edmond Catholic Church in Rehoboth Beach. He served as a Eucharistic minister, was active in Marriage Encounter, and was Fourth Degree member of the Knights of Columbus. In college, he was a member of the judo team, and later in life was a avid reader and traveler, and enjoyed music, shows, musicals, and movies. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by four sons, James A. IV, husband of Diana Moran of Chesterfield, MO, Matthew E., husband of Veronica Moran of San Diego, CA, Michael R., husband of Karen Moran of Royersford, and Brian P., husband of Corinna Moran of Basking Ridge, NJ; one brother, Robert Moran of Egg Harbor Township, NJ and one sister, Colleen Moran of Downingtown; and nine grandchildren, Dean, Austin, Connor, Camryn, Matthew, David, Peter, Dominic, and Daniel.

Relatives and friends are invited at attend his memorial mass at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Lewis Road at Walnut Street, Royersford, PA on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 10:00 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Peter J. DiMaria. Burial will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Greeting will be held from 9:00-9:45 AM, with a eulogy to be held at 9:45 AM, and a reception to follow the mass. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the World Wide Marriage Encounter, 275 W. Hospitality Lane, Suite 102, San Bernardino, CA 92408.
