Obituary

James Moran, age 85, of King of Prussia, PA, formerly of Union, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2020 in the Seasons Hospice, Phoenixville. Born on April 28, 1935 in Jersey City, NJ, he was a son of the late James and Margaret (McNamara) Moran.

Mr. Moran retired from a career at AT&T. While in New Jersey, he was active with the Union, NJ Knights of Columbus Council #4504, where he had served as a Fourth Degree and past Grand Knight. He was appointed as the state District Deputy for Union County, and also had served on the Board of Directors of the Union County Catholic Community Services. He was a world traveler, having visited 35 different countries, and was a proud Patron level contributor of the Metropolitan Opera for over 50 years.

Mr. Moran is survived by two sisters, Manona, wife of the late James Smith of Sayreville, NJ and Patricia, wife of William H. Pries Jr. of Union, NJ; three nieces and two nephews, Donna Brugnoli, Patti Sutton, Linda Miles, William H. Pries IV and James P. Pries; and seven great-nieces and nephews and three great-great nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral mass at the St. Ann Chapel, 604 South Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Tuesday, August 4, 2020 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. John J. Newns and Rev. James Whalen. Burial will be held privately. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:30 am Tuesday at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., Main Street at Fifth Avenue, Phoenixville, PA. A limited number of guests will be allowed in the funeral home at once, and masks will be required in the funeral home and Chapel. The family requests no flowers due to Covid-19, but would rather you send a memorial contribution in his memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
