James V. Nash, Sr., age 83, husband of Elizabeth A. (Marinari) Nash, of Limerick, PA, died peacefully on Friday, July 28, 2017 surrounded by his loving family. Born on February 17, 1934 in Bridgeport, PA, he was a son of the late John T. and Anna (Dever) Nash. He was a 1952 graduate of the West Philadelphia Catholic High School. A veteran, he served for the U.S. Army as a corporal and was stationed in Ft. Knox, KY and Nancy, France. While in France he had the honor of being an altar server at the Shrine of Our Lady of Lourdes. He always said this was the most honorable act he performed. James worked as a Regional Sales Manager at Penco Products in Oaks, PA. He also performed as V.P. of Sales for W.A. Schmidt, Inc, Horsham, PA. He was a member of the St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish in Limerick, PA. James was a lifetime member of Bridgeport Fire Co. #1. He was a founding member of the Montgomery County AOH Division 1.
In addition to his wife of 60 years, James is survived by Three Sons, James V. (Kathy) Nash Jr. of Pottstown, PA, John T. (Monica) Nash, of Gilbertsville, PA, Robert A. Nash, of Limerick, PA; 7 Grandchildren, Katherine, James III, John T. Jr., Thomas, Anthony, Emily, Megan. James was pre-deceased Siblings, John Nash, William Nash, Mary Light-Lanigan, and Joseph Nash.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at St. Teresa of Calcutta R.C. Church, 256 Swamp Pike, Schwenksville, PA 19473 on Wednesday, August 2, 2017 at 11:00 am. Officiating will be Rev. Paul C. Brandt. Entombment will be held in the Limerick Garden of Memories, Limerick, PA. Friends will be received from 9:30 am - 10:45 am Wednesday at the Church.
