James Michael Randolph, 31, of Columbus, Ohio, died accidentally of carbon monoxide poisoning January 14, 2015, while traveling in Arizona. He was born in Bryn Mawr, PA, and was a former resident of Gilbertsville and Valley Forge. He had lived in Columbus since 2008.

At the time of his death, he was working towards an accounting degree at Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio, under the tutelage of his friend and mentor, Ernie Johnson. James, a confirmed Lutheran, found his way to the Seventh-day Adventist Church as a young adult. He had a deep soul and a strong moral compass that complemented his inquisitive mind and signature smile. He loved the outdoors and exploring new places.

James will be dearly missed by loving friends and family, including his father, George B. Randolph III, and stepmother, Suzanne, of Valley Forge; his mother, Jill Leauber Marsteller, and stepfather, Jim, of Harleysville; brother Andrew Randolph of Phoenixville; half-brothers Daniel Sherman of Huntingdon and Matthew Sherman of Schwenksville; uncle Michael and aunt Joann Randolph and their children, Michael, Katie, and Becky of Phoenixville; and grandparents George and Neneca Randolph of Alexandria, Va., Marilyn Hyden Randolph of Phoenixville, and Jim and Janice Leauber Tollefson of Southampton, N.J.

Two memorial services will be held. The first service will take place at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 35 Wilson Avenue, Gilbertsville, PA 19525 on Saturday, February 7th. The family will receive visitors from 8:30 – 9:45 am; the service will begin at 10:00 am. The second will occur on the morning of Sunday, March 1 at the Ephesus Seventh-day Adventist Church, 3650 Sunbury Road, Columbus, Ohio, 43219.
