James C. Seacrist, age 64, husband of Jill L. (Fitch) Seacrist, of Phoenixville, PA, passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024 in the Phoenixville Hospital. Born on May 25, 1960 in Phoenixville, he was a son of the late Mary (McBratnie) and James Seacrist.

James was a graduate of Owen J. Roberts High School, and he furthered his studies at the Maxwell Institute. As a youngster, he spent time working on Buttonwood Farm, where he raised cattle and even showed his own cow through farm shows. James began working with his family from a young age at Seacrist News Agency, formerly located at Main Street and Bridge Street in Phoenixville, until it's closure in 2004. He went on to be a friendly face and manager at Superior Beverage in Phoenixville until his retirement in April 2023. During retirement, he loved staying busy being a wonderful PopPop to his six loving grandchildren and taking spontaneous trips with his wife.

James was married to his wife for almost 38 years, and they looked forward to yearly anniversary vacations, traveling to destinations such as Key West and Jamaica. He loved going on adventures with his children, and as an avid outdoorsman and nature lover, he could often be found fishing the Lehigh River, surf fishing at Island Beach State Park, skiing, biking, and walking the dog. He was also an avid guitar player, and he enjoyed picking up one of his three guitars and playing some tunes. He always had a hard-working demeanor, and he was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone who needed it.

In addition to his wife, James is survived by three children, Kelly, wife of John Wilson, Eric, husband of Megan Seacrist, and Ryan, husband of Kelly Seacrist; six grandchildren, John, Macy, Quinn, Paige, Jameson, and Nora; four siblings, Shirley Ann, Ellen, Steven, and Janet; many nieces and nephews; and his mother-in-law, Areta Fitch, wife of the late William F. Fitch Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his memorial service at the Campbell-Ennis-Klotzbach Funeral Home, Inc., 610 Main Street, Phoenixville, PA on Friday, November 1, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Friends will be received from 9:00 AM-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
